Open House

Lectures, Planetarium Shows, Campus Tours, Scavenger Hunt and more!

For students who are looking for something to do between competitions we have many other engaging events to suggest. We urge you to take advantage of our other activities if you are not involved in a competitive event. Engineering and Science faculty members have generously offered their time to provide guest lectures. Various other activities are scheduled throughout the day; check your final schedule on the day of the Olympics. Except for the campus tours, all special activities are on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Campus Tours require advance registration; please sign up at the Info Booth as early as possible on the day of the event if you wish to participate in a tour. (Spaces are limited and the sign up sheet is often full before 9 am.) We will be running 45 minute tours (groups of 15 people per guide) at 12:30, 1:00, 1:30, and 2:00 pm.

Beginning at 9:30 am, McMaster's Planetarium will offer 25 minute shows on the half hour which will accommodate 35 students per show on a first come first served basis. Planetarium shows are very popular, so arrive early to catch one of the presentations. However, we ask that our guests ALL attend the opening ceremonies in the main tent at 9:00 am before heading to the planetarium area.

Try out our Scavenger Hunt while you explore our campus and win prizes! Forms available at the Olympics Info Desk.
